Does Elder Perry remember Clyde Fife?
Clyde has always been curious if Elder L. Tom Perry of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles remembered him. Someone in his ward had the connections to find out. Here is the email chain (I have deleted the email addresses for obvious reasons)

One of the octogenarians in our ward, Clyde Fife, has mentioned several times that he was in the service with and was a missionary companion to Elder Perry. Making some point in priesthood recently, he showed a couple of pictures of himself with Elder Perry. I asked if I could scan them and he brought them over. He said he didn't think Elder Perry had ever seen them.

Picture 3 - Elder Perry and other LDS Servicemen - Clyde took the picture - Saipan - June 1945
Picture 4 - Clyde Fife and Tim Malone - after church - Camarillo 5th ward - 30 April 2006
Clyde would be interested in knowing if Elder Perry remembers him.

Dear Tim:
Would you please convey to Clyde Fife my sincere best wishes and especially thank him for the pictures.
We had some great times together. He was my supervising elder while we had the mission association. Then he was kind enough to fly special things in to us while we were on Saipan. He was making shuttles back and forth with the big brass and had an opportunity to bring items to us that we would normally not be able to obtain while on the islands. He also took the pictures because we were not allowed to have cameras. The Marines were always under quarantine.
Once again, give Clyde my best.
Sincerely,
Elder L. Tom Perry
